Our responsible products

We integrate eco-design criteria into ALL our new product developments

Our Product teams work and rework products with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint and increasing recyclability and circularity. Many significant efforts are not visible but here are some examples that are.

OCEANIS, Working together to preserve the oceans!

Janni Jorgensen, Managing Director Filing Products

11 million tonnes of plastic end up in the seas and oceans every year*. 10% comes from the maritime industry (traps, ropes, fishing nets). A fishing net, for example, takes 600 years to degrade**!

We make the covers of our Oceanis notebooks, sorters, filing boxes and diaries from recycled plastic collected from used ropes from the maritime industry. These used ropes are collected and sorted, then shredded and washed in clean water before being transformed into recycled polypro granules that we use on our production site. Producing this recycled polypro rather than virgin polypro reduces CO2 emissions by 90%***.
Oxford also contributes to reducing the risk of plastic pollution and helps preserve fossil resources. We are proud to contribute to the preservation of the oceans with this range.

MY REC'UP, taking care of our waste

Louise Jackson, International Product Manager

Every year millions of disposable paper cups are used to serve coffee and other drinks to customers in coffee outlets, cafés, or restaurants. The cups are made from paper fibres that are coated with a thin plastic layer that acts as a barrier to stop the liquids seeping out. The paper fibres used are of high quality and so can be given a new lease of life and upcycled into new and useful everyday objects.

My Rec’Up covers are made from 100% recycled card that contains 20% recycled fibres from waste paper cups. The paper cups are collected, baled, and sent to a recycling plant where 100% of the paper fibres used to make the cups are converted back into paper. The My Rec’Up range contains also 100% natural white recycled Optik Paper®.
